Tioman ---> Kuala Lumpur
Hello people!
I have had 3 beautiful weeks in Pulau Tioman, but now I'm in Kuala Lumpur.
This is how my trip has been:
I decided that Singapore was too much big city for me, so I went to JB(Johor Bahru) to find a bus to Mersing. When I was in JB i decided to stay one more night in my hostel in Singapore but first I wanted to see some of the city.
I walked out to the palace wich lies near to the waterfront and a malay couple where taking their marriage pictures there. It was beautiful... maybe because it was a great contrast to the extremely polluted JB.
Well... back to my hostel I went and the next day i wanted to go to Tioman.
On the train to JB there were some girls that kept taking pictures of me and giggled... I took my revenge.
It was very easy to find a bus in JB, because the malay people in general are very friendly.
There was an old muslim couple that took care of my luggage while I found something to eat in the busstation.
The journey to Mersing took about 3 hours... and then 2 hours with the ferry. Then I arrived to ABC village! It was dark when I arrived, and the 6 swedish guys travelling together had taken the dorm room so i got my own bungalow for the same prize! :D
Here is a picture of one of the families that owns Johans resort.
The next days I used for trekking and playing soccer with the kids... The first trek I wanted to walk was a very short one... I thought... so I decided not to bring any water. VERY STUPID. I ended up in monkey beach dehydrated and then i found out it was a longer way to finish the trek than walk back. I got some water from some english skinnydippers that were sunbathing there and walked home again delerius and soaked in sweat. I came back to Panuba bay and the first restaurant i got to I bought some water... hehe... the girl in the shop looked funny at me... no wonder... I was shaking and soaked.
I did another trek a couple of days later with lots of water and some energy-bars and that turned out to be a better idea.
Pictures from the trek to Juara:
I found a tree named after my littlesister Laura :)
After my trekking I decided that I wanted to start SCUBA-diving...
I found a club nearby called B&J.
Heres a picture of Raj... he is a divemaster in B&J. He's a great guy with lots of diving experience. I had 6-7 dives with him and alot of nights in the bar :D
Here's a picture of Sarah and me... Sarah is also a divemaster and a loads of fun! At that moment we were drinking a drink called "Sarah's Juicy Pussy"(baileys, rum and pineapple juice) because it was her birthday.
When we were diving it was always like Raj would say: "SARAH! Youre loud on the boat and you're loud when you come home!" and Sarah would answer: "RAJ! Youre miserable on the boat and youre miserable when you come home!" HAHA... so much fun!
Here's a picture of my diving instructor Denis. He's a french guy with a funny accent and so much humor! He took me on some wreck dives and some deep dives and I wrote on my slade "THIS IS SO FUCKING NICE" then he gave me hi five and we continued... hehe perfect dive!
I also did some dives with two swedish guys called Emil and Mikael, we did some trekking together aswell
I also met a great finnish couple called Patka and Paulina, Patka is the former drummer of the finnish band called HIM. I did 2 dives together with Paulina, but Patka had hangovers so he couldn't come. They learned me some finnish words as: VITUM PERKELA! or VITUM KUSIJA! They have invited me to come visit them in Helsinki some time and try some Helsinki night clubs and sauna's :D
Here's a picture of one of my favourite persons! FENDIII!!! :D He's a bartender in the bar I used to hang out in. Everytime I came up to the bar a cold beer was allready waiting for me. There was banana cakes and prawn crackers in the bar and most of the people from the dive club hang out there for a sunset-beer before dinner and a couple of beers after dinner. (I didn't bring the danish flag there)
Bye bye Tioman ;-(
I had a great time in Tioman! I did my Open Water course and then the Advanced Open water course... then I did 11 fun dives... so now I have 20 dives... I didn't buy an underwater case for my camera, so I haven't taken any underwater pictures. BUT... there was a photographer from B&J that was with us on some of the trips... Pictures from diving is in the blog above!
