Southern NZ

Hey everybody!

I'm in Dunedin right now... have spent some days with Stray tours in a bus doing the southern pass of southern NZ.
Started in Qtown and got to Milford Sound on the first day. We bought a boatride in the fiord and it was really beautiful! (pictures later)
We spent the night in Te Anau and made dinner together... all 6 of us (thanks to low season :) )
Next day we moved on to Invercargill... but on the way we stopped at a farm and did some shearing (sheep shaving). It was really fun and amazingly easy :D
Invercargill was a bit dull but there was a cinema so I went to see Lake House together with Lara (a german girl I'm travelling with).
Today we stopped on some spots on the way to Dunedin. We stopped at a place where we saw a sea lion and a place where we saw fossilized trees. We also looked for penguins but didn't have any luck finding 'em. After that we lost a backpack on the way. The luggage room had opened by itself on the way and a backpack had worked its way out of the bus. After some hours search we heard that a guy had taken the backpack to the police in Otawa... So... we went there and got the backpack. We arrived late at the hostel, ate some food and then played pool and drank Speights :)
Now people have gone to bed and I'm sitting alone in the bar...

Looking forward to coming home and party with the good old boys :D

By the way... I did it again... think it's 5th time in a row that I've forgotten my mom's birthday :D Congratz Mom... I love you :)

Not alot more to write... oh.. yeah... The bus I've been following the last couple of days was only me and 5 girls... The busdriver was a policewoman from Holland called Spankie... so you can all guess how much feminist crap I had to hear >.< I agree that some men are fuckin stupid... but... same goes for some women. What I don't get is that women are allowed to say "all men are pigs" but a man would never say the opposite? I will now use my freedom of speech to say following: "some women should talk less and listen more".

I have alot of beautiful pictures... they will come whenever I feel I have the time for that :)

I will go to bed and think of people at home, the people I miss the most! :)

New Zealand!! :D

I just ordered 3 days snowboarding in Mt Hutt... its gonna be soo great cause the weather here is super!
Auckland was fine, I met 2 english girls (Edel and Sarah) and found a guesthouse with them. We went on a tour around Auckland and ordered plane tickets to Christchurch (where I am now).
It's freezing cold compared to SE asia, but it's just like being home in Denmark for me :D Everybody speaks english and it's really easy to travel around... crazy how easy it is actually :D
I really love the fresh air and the clean environment, NZ is a great country!
Edel and I went to a bar to see the All Blacks play against the Aussie Wallabees yesterday... great game and a dedicated crowd :)People are really nice here, and there are alot of drunken rygbyfans :D

Before NZ I was in Singapore. I met 2 chinese girls on the plane to Johor Bahru and they convinced me to go with them to Singapore and stay instead of boring JB. Soo... when I came there, there were no free rooms at any of the central hotels... so I stayed in their room. We went out for Karaoke with their friends and I sang alot (not a pretty sight)... They were really nice people and chinese definately know how to party :D Casandra and I went to a night club with a live band and met up with the other people later in the hotel room... they had bought vodka and whiskey... so we partied rest of the night while germany lost to italy on the telly. Next day I went to the airport and heard that my flight was cancelled... :( they had to rearrange my flight so I had a transit in Sydney!! WOOOHOO another continent I've been to :D well... only for an hour... In Auckland I went out to eat Korean food with a californian guy called Landon... we ate a buffet where we could grill our own food... sooo fuckin good, but also quite expensive.

I've lived in the Base hostels in Auckland and now also in Christchurch... they're quite OK... but nothing special.

Yesterday I broke one of the CD's with my pictures... DAMN IT... I think it was the pictures from Laos... not sure... guess there will be less torture for my friends and family when I get home :P

I love NZ... it's a great country!

Soo.... tonight I'm gonna watch the world cup finale... (Anders should be proud) and tomorrow morning its off to Mt Hutt and 3 days of snowboarding. I heard the snow is great right now and the sky is blue! :D

Enough with my chattering... my 30 mins is almost up, so have a great time at home and enjoy your perfect danish summer :)

I'm sitting in Tropicana Lodge again... drinking beer with the danish people (they're fuckin everywhere here) and smoking a joint with Vincent (the coolest guesthouse owner I have ever met).
Well... today I was out white water rafting with 6 japanese people... omg... I love japanese people now... always so polite and sooo friendly... and fuckin crazy! (the good way)
Before this I was out diving in Sipadan... It was crazy! I have never seen anything so beautiful... ... ...
On the way from Semporna(sipadan) my bus broke down... so I had to hitch a ride the rest of the way... I got a ride from a friendly malaysian guy that spoke very well english. I had to sit in the open back of the car, and read a book that I got from another danish guy in Semporna. The ride in the car was so beautiful and I really enjoyed the fact that eventhough you're stuck somewhere in the jungle its so easy to get help :) Then they dropped me off 10km from KK and I had to take a bus... The busdriver wanted me to sit in the seat next to him and we song Westlife and Michael learns to rock for the whole busride :D
Tomorrow I think I will go to one of the nearby islands and snorkle a bit... and then the day after I'm going to JB.

Today at the river rafting there was a barbeque after the rafting... and there they played Michael Learns To Rock all the time... it felt like Denmark in the 90'es :D

I'm actually doing really great, have had a really good time here in Borneo. There is so much to do here, I should have spent a month here... but I guess thats just an excuse to go back here :)
