Dalat -> Hoi An -> Hanoi ! Love it!

Hey!
I know it's been a long time since my last post... there's been so many things that has happened, so it felt kinda hard to sum up on it all... but now (after Gitte and Paliina's beautiful comments) I will try!
OK... So... my original plans I just threw away as soon as I came to Dalat. I had bought an open tour bus ticket, but decided to use an Easy Rider instead. Easy Riders is vietnamese guys with a motorbike that will drive you through the highland to places normal tourists never come.
HOOOKAY! soo.... I decided for a 6 days trip from Dalat to Hoi An. This trip brought me from Dalat through all the highland where the americans and the vietcons fought alot. I saw a volcanic lake, a silk worm farmer, a silk factory, a ricewine maker, a ricenoodle maker, a brick maker, a stone quarry, alot of rice pads and rice terrasses, french style villas, crazy house (a theme guest house made by a vietnamese architect educated in Moskow), a place where they gather iron leftovers from the war (exploded mines, bullets, grenades etc.), alot of monuments, pigfarmers, coffe plantages, pineapple plantages, black pepper platages, tea plantages, rubber tree plantages, cashew nut plantages, alot of beautiful waterfalls, alot of beautiful mountians included the famous breast shaped mountains (woman and girl size), the Ho CHi Minh trail, american built bridges, a music instrument maker, basket makers, a hunters village, and alot of friendly minority people of Vietnam!
Damn... hehe... don't think I even got it all in...
The ricenoodle maker wanted me to marry her daughter, and my driver "Phoung" said they would cook good food for me every day... hehe... but I got a bit scared :D Phoung also flirted with alot of the waitresses in every place we stayed, but they told him that they like "foreign banana" and not the somewhat smaller "vietnamese banana" :D HOHOHOOO great fun!
It was 6 beautiful days with Phoung and a swedish couple with their drivers Phoung's uncle and another guy. I talked alot of swedish, or... tried to... but I kept hearing myself the way my father's sisters always talk swedish... hehe :P
I filled a whole camera with pictures... But I forgot to bring the camera right now.

When I came to Hoi An I got a suit made! Hoi An is known for all their high quality tailoring, soo my suit is really nice!! :D Send it home to momma today in a package.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to Haolum Bay (not sure about spelling) for 3 days, and I'm gonna enjoy some sun there and the life in a boat. I'm also going kayakking and jungle trekking. I already ordered the bus ticket for Vietiane in Laos, so I'll leave Hanoi again tuesday.
I'm gonna meet up with Bee and Anders (from my study) in Luang Praban, and travel around Laos with them!
It's gonna be great to talk some danish again after 3 months with almost only english. And it's gonna be great to see Bee again, and maybe gain some of her great travel knowledge! :D

On my travel from Hoi An to Hanoi I had some waiting time in Hue... I went out looking for a post office and right away I met a guy that asked me where I was from... (you get that all the time from people that want to sell you something) well... he looked like a nice guy so I started the conversation with him. OK... he said that he had family in Denmark, and he was just waiting for his daughter to be finished from school. He wanted to eat some food with me, so that was fine for me. We went to a restaurant just outside the city center, and got some fried rice. He told me about his family in Denmark, and he knew a suprisingly lot about danish culture. We drank alot of beers and he paid the bill... He said that I could buy a bottle of whiskey as a gift for his wife. Well... I thought he ment vietnamese whiskey(about 2$), so no problem!
We went to a cafe and drank some more beers... a strange guy threw a cigarette bud after me and said some things in vietnamese... guess he was jealous or something :D
The beer we drank was Huda beer... Brewed by danish technology it said on the bottle, and the old guy told me that Hu- was for Hue and -da was for danish :D Sooo... practically a danish beer brewed in Hue... funny little world were living in! :D
The old guy paid again, so I insisted on buying his wife a bottle of whiskey! Hehe... stupid of me it wasn't vietnamese whiskey but some high class european whiskey he meant, so I ended up paying 500.000dong (150kr) for the whiskey... But well... I had a fun time with him :)
Then he drove me back to the bus office and I took the bus to Hanoi. I'm glad I made it back alive... because he drank more than me... and I was more than tipsy! :D

After 25 hours we arrived on the wrong side of the bridge... soo... there were alot of commision riders that wanted us to take a free taxi to their hotel in central of the city. I took a cab with 2 japanese guys and they as well as me just wanted to see the hotel and then maybe go to another place. The hotel was kinda crappy so I looked around for a better place. I found a great guesthouse 2 streets away with a really nice family, and with a room with a view to the street! I'm gonna stay there when I come back from Haulom Bay for sure! The wife of the family has a smile and laughter that reminds me of AC (my stepsister) so I felt at home at once :)
She cooked me breakfast and brought it to my room, I watched some sattelite television and saw Denmark loose to Malaysia in badminton (Lundgaard and Erikssen VS Koo and Chan).
Rest of the day I used mostly in front of the TV... I'm too tired to do anything after the 25 hours trip and the drinking on the half way :D

Now... Back to bed and get ready for sun, wind and water tomorrow! Lets hope the typhoon doesn't get down here, heard it's pretty bad near China.
Over and out!
